Meet Our Agents

Karen Schwartz

Karen has worked in residential real estate, specializing in new construction, since 2005. She started with Pulte Group, Inc. after graduating in 2005 from the University of IL – Champaign-Urbana with a BS degree in Communications.

During her employment with Pulte Group, she went on to get her MBA at DePaul’s Kellstadt Business School, and received her MBA in Marketing Management in 2010.

From 2005-2014, Karen worked in 7 different submarkets in the Chicagoland area for Pulte Homes, and sold 382 units accounting for over $190MM worth of real estate. She was always been one of Pulte Group’s top 5 sales associates, and in 2010, was one of the nation’s Top 5 Sales Associates. She also was promoted to a Certified Field Trainer, where she was responsible for hiring and training new sales associates.

Her passion from real estate stems from desiring to help clients enjoy an excellent experience with real estate, whether it is renting their first apartment, buying or selling their home, or downsizing from their current home. Karen understands that the experience with real estate is not simply a transaction, it is a process where she can become a trusted advisor to her clients so that she can guide them through the home buying or selling experience. Her compassion for her clients and for this industry allows her to place herself in her clients’ shoes so that she can work with them in the most productive, efficient, and stress-free ways as possible, to ensure that the renter/buyer/seller is always #1. She knows that she is servicing her clients, and they should be treated with the utmost respect because her goal is to create an outstanding experience for each client.

In addition to having a passion for real estate, Karen is on the Junior Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, sponsors families through Heartland Alliance, and is a member of the Kellstadt Young Alumni. She enjoys traveling and experiencing all that Chicago has to offer.

Laura McGreal

With a business degree in Finance combined with a decade of selling residential real estate for one of the country’s largest real estate developers, Laura can guarantee results combined with professionalism. Having sold close to $200 million in real estate in multiple areas of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, Laura can provide a top level of service and knowledge to all of her clients. Her skills include strategic market research, negotiation and organization that would be beneficial for her buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate goals.

In 2012, Laura became a managing broker and continues to further her knowledge and passion for residential real estate. Other awards include:

Laura and her husband, Roger, recently built a new home in the western suburb of Downers Grove where they plan to raise their 2 daughters, Ceili and Ellie. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends and traveling.

Alison Van Bergen

As a result of her creativity, energy, and attention to detail, Alison’s clients receive the utmost care through every step of their real estate transaction. Alison combines 12 successful years in sales and extensive knowledge of the western suburbs to assist her clients in choosing a location and home that best fits their lifestyle and needs.

Alison and her husband, Rob, moved from Chicago to Downers Grove in 2005. Together with their four children, they enjoy the weekend Farmer’s Market, local restaurants, and a variety of other activities in the western suburbs.

Alison is a graduate from The University of Iowa, where she received a Liberal Arts degree in English and a minor in Business.

Ryan Blake

Ryan Blake transitioned into his career as a real estate broker after over a decade of sales experience in the medical device industry. The skills he developed in that field—including organization, prompt response, transparency, honesty, and providing a quality customer experience—have translated easily into his work as a broker. As a real estate investor, Ryan has had a longtime passion for construction and development, allowing him to provide his clients with additional insight on the many nuances of a particular property they are looking to buy or sell. He is also president of his condo board and able to advise clients on what to expect if they’re buying into an association. Ryan believes in a genuine approach to the real estate process, striving to develop better relationships with clients and achieve results that are focused less on the sale and more on satisfying all parties involved.

Ryan specializes in Chicago’s metropolitan housing market, with expertise in both existing residential real estate and new constructions. An 11-year resident of Lincoln Park, he also has particular knowledge of the neighborhoods of Lakeview, Old Town, Gold Coast, River North, Bucktown, Wicker Park, West Town, Ukranian Village, West Loop, and South loop. In his free time, Ryan enjoys working out, playing golf, spending time with his dog, and watching sports.

Megan Studencki

Megan Studencki transitioned into a real estate career after 13 years of experience as a visual merchandiser for H&M, a role that required consistent time management and organization in order to maintain and update current store trends. She was also very involved with the customer shopping experience, ensuring that they were thoroughly satisfied with their visit to the store. This professional background has given Megan exceptional insight into the dynamic, constantly evolving work of real estate sales. She believes strongly in providing the highest level of client service, doing everything in her power to help people find the home of their dreams. Megan provides motivated, efficient work on each transaction, along with great communication and attention to detail.

A lifelong native of the south Chicago suburbs, Megan has focused her business on the real estate markets of these family-oriented areas, which include Frankfort, Tinley Park, Mokena, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Lockport, and Orland Park. Outside of her work in real estate, Megan enjoys spending time with her family going for bike rides or cooking, and supporting events within her Frankfort community.

Angela Ofslager

Angela Ofslager brings both real estate expertise and strong service skills to her career as a broker. Her professional experiences as the owner of a pet/house-sitting business for 13 years, as well as her work within Human Resources, taught her how to be highly organized, communicative, trustworthy, and focused on the needs of her clients. She also gained relevant knowledge of how to run her future businesses while earning her BHS in Healthcare Administration at Florida Atlantic University. Prior to relocating to Chicago, Angela sold real estate in Arizona, working exclusively with her husband’s boutique firm and specializing in helping investors. She enjoys working with clients on any of their real estate goals, and is especially adept at walking through each step of the process with a homebuyer.

Angela has called Chicago her home since 2015, and offers clients particular knowledge of the markets in Lakeview and Wrigleyville. Outside of her real estate career, Angela enjoys working out, walking her dogs, riding her horse, discovering amazing food, and traveling abroad with her husband.
